शहडोल। शहर के सबसे व्यस्त और भीड़भाड़ वाले इलाकों में शुमार राजेंद्र टॉकीज चौराहा बुधवार सुबह अचानक अफरातफरी का केंद्र बन गया, जब नगर पालिका प्रशासन ने अतिक्रमण हटाने की बड़ी कार्रवाई शुरू कर दी। बुलडोज़र, ट्रक और भारी संख्या में कर्मचारियों के साथ पुलिस बल की मौजूदगी में यह अभियान इतना सख्त रहा कि पूरे क्षेत्र में भगदड़ जैसे हालात बन गए।
सुबह लगभग 9 बजे नगर पालिका का अमला राजेंद्र टॉकीज चौराहे से मुख्य बाजार मार्ग तक पहुंचा और सड़क किनारे लगे ठेले, टीन शेड, निर्माण सामग्री और दुकानों के आगे किए गए अतिक्रमण को जेसीबी मशीनों से हटाना शुरू कर दिया। कुछ ही घंटों में पूरा इलाका मलबे में तब्दील हो गया।
अभियान की जानकारी मिलते ही नगर पालिका अधिकारी और पुलिस अधिकारी मौके पर पहुंचे। पूरे क्षेत्र को छावनी में बदल दिया गया, ताकि किसी तरह की गड़बड़ी या विरोध प्रदर्शन की स्थिति न बने।
नगर पालिका प्रशासन के अनुसार, लंबे समय से नागरिकों की ओर से सड़क किनारे अवैध कब्जों और यातायात अवरोध की शिकायतें मिल रही थीं। कई बार नोटिस और चेतावनी के बावजूद जब सुधार नहीं हुआ, तो यह कार्रवाई की गई।
अधिकारियों का कहना है कि “जनहित और यातायात सुविधा के लिए यह कदम जरूरी था। आगे भी शहर के अन्य प्रमुख चौराहों और बाजारों में इसी तरह की कार्रवाई की जाएगी।”
हालांकि, अतिक्रमणकारियों का कहना है कि उन्हें कोई पूर्व सूचना नहीं दी गई। अचानक हुई कार्रवाई से उनके ठेले और सामान नष्ट हो गए, जिससे रोज़गार पर सीधा असर पड़ा है।
फिलहाल, प्रशासन का रुख साफ है—अवैध कब्जों पर अब कोई रियायत नहीं दी जाएगी। यह अभियान शहर को स्वच्छ, व्यवस्थित और सुगम यातायात व्यवस्था देने की दिशा में एक बड़ा कदम माना जा रहा है।
