नेपाल और भारत की सीमा के पास भूकंप के जोरदार झटके महसूस किए गए। हालांकि भूकंप का केंद्र तिब्बत में था। वहीं रिक्टर स्केल पर भूकंप की तीव्रता 5.7 मापी गई है। राष्ट्रीय भूकंप विज्ञान केंद्र ने इस भूकंप के बारे में जानकारी दी। भूकंप के झटके इतने तेज थे लोग आधी रात को भी घरों से बाहर निकल गए। 5.7 की तीव्रता का भूकंप होने की वजह से लोगों में भय का माहौल बन गया। बता दें कि इससे पहले भी तिब्बत में रिक्टर स्केल पर 3.7 तीव्रता का भूकंप आया। एनसीएस के अनुसार, भूकंप 10 किलोमीटर की उथली गहराई पर आया, जो आफ्टरशॉक के लिए अतिसंवेदनशील था।
एक हफ्ते में दूसरा भूकंप
बता दें कि इससे पहले सोमवार को भी पाकिस्तान में 4.2 तीव्रता का भूकंप आया था। नेशनल सेंटर फॉर सिस्मॉलॉजी (NCS) ने बताया कि भूकंप शाम को 4 बजकर 5 मिनट पर आया। भूकंप के झटकों के डर से लोग घर छोड़कर बाहर आ गए। एनसीएस के अनुसार, भूकंप का केन्द्र 10 किलोमीटर की गहराई पर था, जिसका अक्षांश 36.60 उत्तर तथा देशान्तर 72.89 पूर्व था।
क्यों आते हैं भूकंप?
हाल के दिनों में देश-दुनिया के कई इलाकों में भूकंप की घटनाओं में बढ़ोतरी देखी जा रही है। हमारी धरती के भीतर 7 टेक्टोनिक प्लेट्स हैं। ये प्लेट्स लगातार अपने स्थान पर घूमते रहती हैं। हालांकि, कभी-कभी इनमें टकराव या घर्षण भी होता है। इसी कारण धरती पर भूकंप की घटनाएं देखने को मिलती हैं। इसका सबसे ज्यादा नुकसान आम जनजीवन को उठाना पड़ता है। भूकंप से मकानें गिर जाती हैं, जिसमें दबकर हजारों लोगों की मौत हो जाती है।
भारत में क्या हैं भूकंप के जोन
भूगर्भ विशेषज्ञों के अनुसार, भारत के कुल भूभाग के लगभग 59 फीसदी हिस्से को भूकंप के लिहाज से संवेदनशील माना जाता है। वैज्ञानिकों ने भारत में भूकंप क्षेत्र को जोन-2, जोन-3, जोन-4 व जोन-5 यानी 4 भागों में विभाजित किया है। जोन-5 के इलाकों को सबसे ज्यादा संवेदनशील माना जाता है, जबकि जोन-2 कम संवेदनशील माना जाता है। हमारे देश की राजधानी दिल्ली भूकंप के जोन-4 में आती है। यहां 7 से अधिक तीव्रता के भी भूकंप आ सकते हैं जिससे बड़ी तबाही हो सकती है।
